Robbie & Emily Wilson - Mattei's Tavern
Managing Partner and Chef Robbie Wilson, along with his wife Emily and owners Charles and Ali Banks, have reopened Mattei’s Tavern to celebrated success. Robbie has worked in some of the most desirable restaurants in the world, including Maison Troisgros (France), Craft (Los Angeles), The French Laundry (Napa), and Matsuhisa (Aspen). He has created a menu at Mattei’s Tavern that takes advantage of the resources in this area for locally grown vegetables, fruits and other fresh ingredients with a menu that combines the 1886 history of old Mattei’s with contemporary cuisine. Robbie says of the venture, “Our collective vision is to add to the food, wine and lifestyle culture of Los Olivos in ways that will honor its history, while also adding value to its vibrant future. This is a great American town, and it’s been a privilege to become a part of this community.” Mattei’s Tavern is located at 2350 Railway Avenue in the beautiful town of Los Olivos.

Tom and Marilyn Stolpman founded Stolpman Vineyards in 1990 and produced it’s first wines in 1997. In 2001 winemaker Sashi Moorman came aboard and began experimenting with dry-farming & high density plantings. Through extensive experimentation with many varietals, the team has perfected its offerings of Syrah, Roussanne, Sangiovese and Sauvignon Blanc. Today, Tom’s son Peter manages the tightly knit family operation dedicated to making world-class wines.
