Frank Ostinin grew up around his family's Casmalia Hitching Post, and does the same traditional wood fire barbecue at his Hitching Post II Restaurant in Buellton since 1986. With high acclaim from the Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Gourmet and Sunset magazines, and enthusiastic support from Chefs Wolfgang Puck and Bobby Flay, Frank has become the regional spokesman for what is popularly known as "Santa Maria Style BBQ.: And, in a feature on Food Network's "Best Thing I Ever Ate," Cat Cora has dubbed the HP Burger as "yumminy," adding credibility towards Frank as a judge for the Slider Competition!
