David Cecchini - Cecco Ristorante
Cooking is in David’s blood. His grandfather and father established Genio’s Restaurant in Burbank and David got his start there at an early age. That was before he worked with Julia Child and before he was a guest chef at the James Beard House. Since those days, David opened and worked in a succession of award-winning restaurants before moving to the Santa Ynez Valley in the mid 2000’s. At Cecco Ristorante in Solvang, David uses fresh, local, seasonal ingredients to make delicious rustic Italian cuisine. The heart of his restaurant features an Italian wood burning brick oven where Neapolitan inspired, thin crust pizzas are made fresh to order. David is proud to list many local wines on his menu and collaboration with winemaker Steve Clifton has produced his own Cecchini wine label, including Sangiovese and Pinot Blanc varietals.
Cecco Ristorante is located at 475 First Street in Solvang.

John and Helen have worked throughout some of California’s greatest wine growing regions. Their passion inspired them to plant a small vineyard in Paso Robles which they named Mia’s Vineyard after their daughter, born in 1998. After successful stints in Napa Valley, they came to the Central Coast and found it well-suited to a lifestyle of winemakers and parents. Truly a family affair, John oversees farming aspects of the estate vineyard and outside vineyard sources while Helen co-produces the wines and markets them. This team approach makes Falcone Family wine distinctively special, and their farming methods produce wines that reflect the soils and climate of this spectacular region.
Nature’s true tastes and fresh-picked nutrition are available daily at Classic Organic Farm & Market, owned and operated by Helmut Klauer, a classic organic farmer. A variety of lettuces, tomatoes, carrots, watermelons, strawberries, cucumbers, winter and summer squash, peppers, fennel, spinach, asparagus, onions, garlic and pumpkins are just a sampling of the many crops grown in season. Homestead Orchard fruit and kitchen herbs are also available. Helmut has farmed organically since 1971. He holds fast to the original parameters of organic farming, rejecting the USDA’s corporate-friendly definition of “organic,” which allows methods which classic organic farmers would never employ. Classic Organic Farm & Market is located at the PeaceBarn. An old barn embellished with a classic Peace Sign. 4 miles south of Buellton, just off of Hwy 101. Watch for the small brown sign that reads “Nojoqui Park”. That’s Old Coast Hwy. you’ll see the barn 400 yards down. U-Pick Garden offers strawberries, raspberries, cherry tomatoes, green beans, peas, pumpkins - in season. We offer tours, family activities, and barnyard animals freely grazing on the rolling hills surrounding the farm.
